SHIPPING INFO

I typically use USPS for all of my shipments. Anything you order from me is insured, making it easier to file a claim if your item arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all. If your package is returned to sender for any reason, you will be responsible for any additional costs associated with getting your package shipped back to you. Please make sure your address is accurate when you check out.

GENERAL INFO

Our store is hosted on WIX. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through WIX's data storage, databases and the general WIX application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then WIX stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized orders

  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

  • Digital downloads

  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

  • Items on sale

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Everything you see on my site is made by me. During busy times of the year, my waitlist gets up to about 8 weeks long. Highly detailed items like custom Hey Dudes, wooden letters, or any item that has tooled leather take longer to make than other items. Please remember, I've got 4 kids, cattle, and a house to take care of; I'm a busy lady and delays do happen sometimes. I always try my best to make sure items go out on time and I will always notify you if I sense a delay might occur.

  • How do I care for leather?
    There are several different types of leather. Veg tanned leather is what is used to tool and paint designs on, veg tanned leather should be oiled a few times a year with something like neatsfoot oil to ensure it stays flexible and to prolong it looking great. Veg tanned leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Cowhide can be scrubbed with a dry bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to loosen any dried on dirt and then cleaned with a damp cloth. Embossed or other types of decorative leather can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Leather is naturally water resistant, however, care should be taken to keep leather as dry as possible. If the leather does get wet, wipe off any excess water and then let the leather dry naturally and avoid any artificial heat sources.
  • I have an item (bag, belt, journal cover, etc) that I would like to send you to rework/ create something new out of, can I do that?"
    Yes! I love making custom items, I've turned old belts into new cuff bracelets and turned tattered bible covers into earrings and pieces to be used on jewelry boxes. Send me a message and we can work together to create something new out of your cherished piece.
  • I want a design/brand/size/color thats not shown, how do I order that?"
    You can send me a message on here or any of my social media platforms and I will create a special listing just for you.
  • My item arrived damaged, what do I do?"
    Don't panick! Unfortunately shipping companies can damage items while they are in transit, your item was insured while it was shipped so we will have to file a claim. You will need to keep all of the packaging material and take pictures of it, if you can see damage to the item without opening the package, go ahead and take picture of it before its opened. I will help you file the claim throught the USPS website, you will need information such as the tracking number and invoice, which I can email to you. Most of the time they will have you take the damaged item to your local post office and they will send you a refund (you can then use that money to repurchase the item or not).
  • Do you offer wholesale?
    Yes, there are several items that I offer wholesale. Please send me a message and we can get a wholesale account set up.
  • It's December 16th and I waited until the last minute to get a gift, can my order be here by Christmas?"
    The short answer is no. Each year I announce my cutoff for Christmas orders, which is always well before December. My turnaround time for custom pieces is anywhere from 2-10 weeks depending on my current workload. Please keep that in mind when ordering. I hand make most items, and they are made to order, I will not sacrifice quality to try and rush an item out to you. I usually have a selection of ready to ship items you can look through if you like to live dangerously and shop last minute. Also, you may consider purchasing a gift certificate. You can send me a message and I can send you one by email or mail.
  • I am an influencer, can you send me free stuff?"
    If you are an esteblished influencer and think we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement please message me. If you are just starting out you can go ahead and purchase the product you would like to review and in the notes to seller portion of the checkout screen let me know what coupon code you want to be linked with you (ex.. KRISTA10). I'll get your code up and running and ship your product. Your viewers will get 10% off their purchases and for ever order our coupon code generates I will refund you 10% of your purchase price. So if I get 10 sales from your code, your product will be free. If I get 5 it will be 50% off. I do it this way to weed out the people who just send the same generic message asking for free stuff (pretty annoying and trashy if you ask me) from the real people who actually want to review a product or who actually have a viable customer base. Message me if you would like to proceed with your purchase, if not I'll just assume you're trolling for free stuff.
  • I want to be a brand rep, how do I proceed?"
    I would love to have a few brand reps who promote Tornado Alley Designs and send me amazing product pictures to use in exchange for discounted merchandise. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please message me and send me a link to your Instagram or send a few pictures of yourself/ your style.
